Accum Terms and Conditions

1. Your Account — Getting Started

When you sign up for Accum, you’re creating your own online store. Here’s what you need to know:

What we need from you:

  • Your real name and business information
  • A valid email address (we’ll send important updates here)
  • You must be 18 or older
  • This is for business use only

Your responsibilities:

  • Keep your password safe
  • Check your email regularly for updates from us
  • Follow our rules (don’t hack, spam, or do anything illegal)

Account Security: Think of your account like your house keys – keep them safe! You’re responsible for everything that happens with your account. If someone else gets access because you shared your password, that’s on you.

2. Setting Up Your Store

If you’re setting this up for a company, make sure you have permission to sign contracts. You can add team members, but you’re still responsible for what they do.

We’ll Help You Get Started: When you sign up, we automatically set up payment methods like CreditCard and PayPal so customers can buy from you right away. You can change these settings anytime.

Domain names: If you buy a web address through us, it will automatically renew each year. Please contact us if you want to make any changes.

3. What We Can Do

We built this platform and work with others, so we get to make some decisions:

  • We can update features and fix bugs
  • We can remove content that breaks our rules or the law
  • We help other businesses too (including your competitors, but we won’t share your secrets)

4. What You Need to Do — Run Your Business

You’re the merchant — we provide the tools. With our tech team where necessary, we provide support with:

  • Products: What you sell, how you describe it, what you charge
  • Customers: Service, returns, refunds, complaints
  • Delivery: Getting products to customers

5. Money Matters

What You Pay:

  • Monthly subscription: Keeps your store and CRM running (billed every 30 days)
  • Transaction fees: Small percentage when you make a sale
  • Extra services: Things like upgrades, other services/products, or special features and requests

Payment Rules:

  • Keep a valid credit card on file
  • We’ll charge it automatically each month
  • If your card doesn’t work, we’ll try a few times then pause your store
  • You’re responsible for any applicable taxes

Subscription Rules:

  • Setup: paid at same day as onboarding
  • Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews each month
  • How to cancel: Contact support or use your account dashboard
  • When to cancel: Before your next billing date
  • Price changes: We’ll give you 30 days notice

6. Website Maintenance and Updates

We perform routine maintenance and updates to keep the website secure, stable, and running smoothly. This includes WordPress/Magento core and plugin updates, which are applied on a regular schedule and only when necessary to maintain proper functionality. Most updates are conducted based on stable version requirements.

Testing Before Updates: All updates and changes are tested in a safe environment before being applied to the live site. This ensures the website continues to work correctly and avoids disruptions for visitors.

Hosting and Performance: We perform routine maintenance and update the admin panel first and then test with the hosting plan. Website performance depends on the hosting plan being used. Shared or entry-level hosting may cause slower load times or inconsistent performance. We may recommend upgrading to a higher-tier or a dedicated hosting plan for better speed and reliability.

Changes by Others: Any updates or changes made directly by the website owner or third parties, outside of our approved maintenance process, may affect site performance or functionality. We are not responsible for issues caused by such changes, and fixing them may require additional fees.

Performance Optimization: We use industry-standard tools to improve website speed and efficiency, including caching, image optimization, and content delivery networks (CDNs). While these tools improve performance, speed may still vary depending on hosting, traffic, and other external factors.

7. Privacy & Your Information

Your Data: We keep your business information private. You keep our platform details private. Fair deal.

See our Privacy Policy for complete details.

Our Responsibility: We try our best, but sometimes things break. Here’s what you should know:

  • We’re not responsible for everything that could possibly go wrong

Your Responsibility: If you break the rules or laws, and someone comes after us because of it, you’ll need to handle that situation.

9. Your Content & Our Platform
